Durham police investigate shooting

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening in the parking lot of the Phoenix Square shopping center on Fayetteville Street.

Police said the incident occurred around 8 p.m.

One male victim was shot in the thigh while standing outside in the parking lot of the shopping center at 806 Fayetteville St. The victim was taken to the hospital for a non-life threatening injury, police said. 

Police did not release the identity of the shooting victim.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
