A Savannah man is charged with hit and run after Police say he left the scene of two accidents.   Investigators say Eric Jerrod Morgan was driving a white 2004 Impala that crashed into a tree on White Bluff Road and Lee Boulevard just after 6pm Tuesday. Two children were inside the car at the time.

Police say when they arrived at the scene, the vehicle was gone. The Impala was also  identified as the vehicle involved in a previous accident at White Bluff and Stephenson Avenue.  Investigators were able to identify one of the children when her Mother showed up at the second accident scene, officers demanded she tell then where the child was.  They say the youngster was returned several hours later with a cut on her mouth and missing a tooth, she told police she had been involved in an accident and was not wearing a seatbelt.

The child was taken to the hospital, investigators say Morgan then showed up at the hospital with his own injuries about three hours later.   A second child was also treated at the hospital for injuries related to the car accident.  Morgan is currently being treated but his faces several charges including child endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.
