Eight months.

That's how long the Foley family has been dealing with their loss, and waiting for answers.

That was the day Rebecca Foley was shot and killed as she drove into her apartment complex off White Bluff road.

Eddie Foley came back to Savannah from North Carolina on this day not to mourn, but to hopefully find out more about what happened to his daughter.

"She had a bright future ahead of her, somebody robbed her of it," explained Eddie Foley.

Rebecca Foley was robbed of that future in an instant, thanks to a single bullet.

But 8 months after she died, Rebecca's family has no answers.

"I want answers and trust the police department to do their jobs which I'm sure they will," said Eddie.

But Eddie Foley wanted reassurance of that. That's why he was at Savannah-Chatham police Headquarters Monday.

"They are working hard at the case," says Foley. "They assure me they are making progress. That's what I need to hear."

But hearing still doesn't bring Rebecca back, or bring a killer to justice.

"We both lost children at 21," said Jimmy Franklin. "21 years young. For no reason. Just a violent crime that didn't have to happen."

That's why Jimmy Franklin is here, to help. His son Wesley was shot and killed last June, and it took police almost a year to find his killer.

"The guessing game you are on because you are not told a lot of information, not given a lot of information," remembers Jimmy. "You sit back. You wonder, you worry. Look for answers. You don't get answers. Its like limbo and its not easy. Its not easy at all."

But with a little help and a lot of faith, the Foley's and Franklin both believe they can make it through.

"I hope I can give Eddie some faith in time, and when it is time this guy will get caught," said Eddie Foley. "He will."

Police tell the Foley's they have some leads and possible person of interest but not enough evidence to make an arrest yet.

Rebecca Foley was shot and killed as she drove into the Colonial Village at Marsh Cove apartments January 21.

If you know anything about what happened to Rebecca Foley, call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020.

There is a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
