Raleigh Police identify 2 stabbing victims, suspect

RALEIGH, N.C. -
Raleigh police are investigating an early morning stabbing that sent two people and the suspect to the hospital.
 
The incident happened just before 3 a.m. in the 400 block of E. Lane Street near downtown Raleigh. All three people involved in the incident lived at the address on Lane Street.

Stabbed were Jessie Skye McClellan, 34, and Peter Noah Tate, 26.
 
The suspect, 31-year-old James Alexander Walters, suffered an eye injury and was also taken to the hospital.

Arrest warrants have been obtained charging Walters with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He will be transported to the Wake County Detention Center when his medical condition permits.

Police say they believe the incident was of a domestic nature and not a random act of violence.
