HINESVILLE, GA -

A woman is dead after being struck by a car Monday night in Liberty County. Police say they face the challenge of trying to identify the woman.

It happened shortly before 9p.m. at the intersection of West Oglethorpe Highway and General Screven Way, according to Hinesville detectives. They tell News Three that a male driver was operating a late model, Ford Mustang when he struck the woman in eastbound lanes.

Emergency officials took the woman to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Detectives say the woman did not have any identification on her.
