Savannah -

Metro Police Chief Willie Lovett and officers within his department are briefing Savannah's City Council Thursday morning on their policing tactics.  A number of initiatives have been implemented over the last few months that have cut down on some crime throughout the city, but police say they still see higher numbers of property crimes.

Mayor Edna Jackson and some aldermen are expressing concerns about the amount of crime committed by repeat offenders and how that problem can be solved.  All agree its a problem the city can't solve through arrests.
