SAVANNAH, GA -

Lakisha Green, a woman accused of starving her special needs daughter, pleaded guilty to various charges in connection with the crime.

Lakisha along with her mother Cassie Green were arrested after police say the two were attempting to kill the 6 year old girl by starving her.

Investigators said the girl had a genetic disorder that prevented her from communicating, walking, or feeding herself.

Lakisha Green will be sentenced for one charge of attempted murder, two counts of cruelty to a child in the 2nd degree and one count of cruelty to a child in the 1st degree.

That sentencing will be held at a later date following some psychological evaluations.
