Georgia Rainfall Surpluses to Date

A little good news... we get to put the umbrella away the next 2 days! A little good news... we get to put the umbrella away the next 2 days!

High pressure has brought in a quiet... rather stable and dry mid week weather pattern... which is good news considering how far above normal we are in yearly rain totals.

Take a look at these updated statistics from some of the bigger cities...

City…..         2013 Rainfall                 Surplus from Normal

Macon               58.13"                            26.84"

Atlanta              51.04"                            17.84"

Columbus          50.33"                            18.13"

Savannah          47.17"                            13.79"

Athens              45.00"                            14.22"

Looks like the risk for isolated showers and thunderstorms returns Thursday... and continues into the Labor Day holiday weekend. But rainfall is not expected to be widespread. This is good news for those of us who need the yards to dry out a little!

Have a great day and enjoy the nice looking weather!
