RALEIGH, N.C. -

The suspect and the victim of an assault at a gas station in Raleigh have been located Thursday after both seemingly disappeared following the incident.

Raleigh police said the suspect, 28-year-old Gregory Leon Bolden, was charged with assault and transported to the Wake County Jail.

Raleigh police said Bolden and the victim entered the Sheetz gas station at 5200 New Bern Ave. around 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 20, when the man began to assault the woman by hitting and kicking her.

Bolden then forced the woman into a restroom, where police believe the assault continued.

When the when Bolden emerged from the bathroom, he was wearing what appeared to be the shirt the victim was wearing when she first entered the gas station. He then left the store and was last seen walking west on New Bern Ave.

The identity of the victim was not released by police.

Tips from the public were instrumental in located both individuals, police said.
