WSAV Thursday Night Blitz Game 1: Savannah Christian Vs. Jenkins

Posted: Updated:

Savannah Christian and Jenkins are set to kickoff the season on the WSAV Thursday Night Blitz Game of the Week.  Quarterbacks Brandon Thomas (SCPS) and Brenden Carter (Jenkins) are in the spotlight.

The Warriors beat the Raiders 21-20 to open the season in 2012 for both teams.  Thomas was injured in the game and didn't return until the final game of the season.

Carter returns this season leading a very talented offensive team.  Juan De La Rosa and Malik Benlevi lead a talented crew of receivers.

You can watch the game on WSAV 3.2 (MyLC).  See the Thursday Night Blitz section for station locations.  WSAV's Ken Slats and Sports Radio 102.1's Seth Harp will call the action from Memorial Stadium.   Kickoff is set for 7pm.
