Savannah -

Some of them may be a little past their prime, but that didn't stop the Savannah Adult Baseball League All-Stars from putting on a show Monday night at Historic Grayson Stadium.

The league, which is made up of two divisions for players 23 and over and 35 and over is now in its 8th season in Savannah and features a number of former pro and college players as well as a lot of other players who never got the chance.  All share a common bond of a love for baseball.

Kevin Kirsch, of the defending 35+ champion Savannah Reds, homered and hit a sacrifice fly as the East All-Stars jumped out to a 4-3 lead.  The West All-Stars, coached by the defending 23+ Rhino's manager Chris Crocker, battled back scoring two runs late in the game to come away with an exciting 5-4 win.

The Savannah Adult Baseball League is currently wrapping up its regular season with the playoffs, weather permitting, getting underway in mid August and the championships expected to be decided in September.   If you are interested in playing check out the SABL website at http://savannahbaseball.org/
