McCrory orders NC flags lowered to mark Korean War

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Gov. Pat McCrory has ordered all North Carolina state flags to be lowered to half-staff on all state facilities in honor of Korean War Veterans Armistice Day.
    
The flags are to be lowered from sunrise to sunset on Saturday.
    
The North Carolina Division of Veterans Affairs estimates that 149,754 North Carolina citizens served in Korea between 1950 and 1953. It's estimated that 69,669 of these veterans are still living in North Carolina.
