BLUFFTON, S.C. -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who robbed a convenience store late Thursday night.

BCSO says the Kangaroo Express at 1610 Fording Island Road was held-up at around 11:30 p.m.

The store clerk was stocking shelves when the suspect came in armed with a handgun and demanded the clerk empty the register.

BCSO says the suspect is described as a light-skinned black male between the ages of 17-20, approximately 5'11" and 150 lbs.

He was wearing a dark-colored long sleeved shirt, dark jeans and a black baseball cap with a flat, silver brim and a "NY" emblem on the front.

The clerk was not hurt.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. B. Cooler at 843-255-3423 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
