SCMPD to Hold Badge Pinning Ceremony for Eleven New Officers

SAVANNAH, GA -

Eleven recruits will be pinned and sworn in today during the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department's Badge Pinning Ceremony.

According to information released by SCMPD, the eight men and three women recently completed 11 weeks of state-mandated training at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Garden City, followed by an additional six weeks of Patrol School at the SCMPD Training Center.  

Their official induction into the SCMPD will take place in the Squad Room at the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department headquarters at 12:30 p.m.
