Here's a quick look at your Top 3 on 3 stories you'll need to know before heading out this morning.

If your morning commute takes you down La Roche Avenue, you might want to take it slow this morning. A tree went down on La Roche Avenue between Norwood Avenue and Wylly Island Road Thursday afternoon. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police had the tree cleaned up around midnight last night, but advise you use continue to use extra precaution in the area.

Also, the largest hacking and data breach scheme ever prosecuted in the US was announced Thursday. Four Russian nationals and a Ukrainian have been charged with running a sophisticated hacking ring that penetrated more than a dozen American and international corporations. The breach, which occurred from 2005 until last year, resulted in the group stealing and selling at least 160-million credit card and debit card numbers. A wide range of victims included Nasdaq, 7-eleven, JC Penney, and Jet Blue.

Plus, Fort Stewart is mourning the loss of three of its own this morning, all killed in Afghanistan this week on their first deployment. Officials say the 3rd ID soldiers died Tuesday after insurgents bombed their unit. 24-year old Sergeant Stefan Smith of Glennville, Georgia and Specialist Rob Nichols, a Colorado native, died along with 25-year old First Lieutenant Jonam Russell, a native of Arizona.

    The National Weather Service confirms that a water spout was spotted off the coast of Tybee Island on Friday morning. The Chatham Count Emergency Management agency says the island did activate its outdoor warning system and cleared the beach.At this time, weather reports do not indicated the waterspout will make landfall, but it is recommended to avoid the beach until the storm has passed.
