Coastal Link: Martin de Porres Society Camp Lighthouse

SAVANNAH, GA -

This summer, children from all walks of life will come together to bond, learn, and have lots of fun.

From July 29th through August 1st, the Martin de Porres Society of Savannah will host its 13th annual Camp Lighthouse- a free, week-long day camp for about 100 area economically challenged children in grades kindergarten through eighth.

It's purpose is to shine light on diversity.

Campers get a chance to take part in a variety of educational activities with Jewish youngsters from across the country and even some teenagers who've come all the way from Israel.

This year, Camp Lighthouse will be held at Pooler Elementary School- that's at 308 Holly Avenue in Pooler from 9 am to 3 pm.

The Martin de Porres Society is once again partnership with Havaya International, the 92nd Y of New York City, and the Ramat HaSharen Community Centers of Israel to put on the camp... but they also need your help.

Financial sponsors and volunteers are needed.

All donations are tax deductible.

For more information, call: (912) 352-3254.
