UPDATE: Paula Deen's Fired Lawyer Releases Statement

UPDATE: After being fired by former client, Paula Deen, the Oliver Maner Law Firm has released the following statement:

Oliver Maner LLP has been privileged to represent Paula Deen, Paula Deen Enterprises, LLC, and The Lady Enterprises, Inc. successfully on a variety of different matters over many years.  Most recently, Oliver Maner LLP has represented Paula Deen and several companies in connection with the case of Jackson v. Paula Deen, et al. pending in the United States District Court, Southern District of Georgia, Savannah Division.  Subject to an Order, the defense of that case will be transferred by agreement to other counsel for completion.  Oliver Maner LLP has appreciated the opportunity to work on this matter and thanks the many professionals who have assisted to help make sure that the case is well-positioned for a favorable outcome.

First on WSAV.com - Just a week after letting go her manager, Paula Deen has fired her legal team.

Legal documents filed in Federal Court show Paula Deen, Earl "Bubba" Hiers, and Paula Deen Enterprises have let go Savannah based Oliver Maner, and hired a new set of lawyers from Morgan Lewis.

Exclusive NEW details: Sources confirm to WSAV.com that powerhouse Hollywood attorney Patricia Glaser has been retained to provide general legal oversight on this case and for her future career. Glaser is known for representing stars such as Keith Olbermann and Conan O'Brien, as chronicled in the Hollywood Reporter.

The Savannah based firm was described as "out of their depth", and Deen has reorganized with a team they call "World Class" and "legal heavy hitters".

Morgan Lewis and Bockius is a firm out of Washington D.C. 

Grace Spieghts, Jocelyn Cuttino, Alexis Thomas, and Patricia Glaser from Morgan Lewis Bockius and Harvey Weitz of Weiner, Sheahouse, Weitz, Greenberg and Shawe. LLP based in Savannah will now handle her case against complainant, and former Uncle Bubba's employee, Lisa Jackson.

Jackson is suing Paula Deen Enterprises for sexual and racial discrimination.

Paula Deen fired her manager Barry Weiner of the Artists' Agency last week. Bobby and Jamie Deen have also left that same agency.
