Toddler Severely Burned, Mother Charged

Posted: Updated:
BULLOCH COUNTY, GA -

A Bulloch County mother faces child cruelty charges after her toddler was injured with severe burns that deputies say she failed to have the child treated for immediately.

Deputies responded to the emergency room at East Georgia Regional Medical Center on June 23rd and photographed second and third degree burns on the one-year-old girl's buttocks.

During an interview, Victoria Grace Eason told deputies that she had delayed her toddler's treatment. Deputies say she has not given an exact reason for how or what burned the child  on the buttocks.

Deputies arrested and charged Eason with second degree cruelty to children for her failure to act immediately when her daughter was injured, causing the toddler to suffer excessive pain over a period of several days.

Eason is being held at the Bulloch County Jail, pending further action.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Investigator Bill Black at 912-764-1765.
