New Charges For Sex Offender

Posted: Updated:
BULLOCH COUNTY, GA -

Investigators says a sex offender currently in custody on child molestation charges now faces more charges in another case involving a 9-year-old girl in Bulloch County.

Deputies say Robert Jonathan was charged in Bulloch County back in 2005 with child molestation and again in 2007 with failure to register as a sex offender. In 2011, a judge sentenced Hart on both incidents and paroled him from the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Right now Hart is being held in the Effingham County jail on unrelated child molestation charges.

The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office says this new case was reported on Sunday, June 23rd and is reported to have happened inside a home in the 2000 block of Cody Lane in Statesboro between July and October 2012.

Anyone with information on this case may contact Investigator Bill Black at 912-764-1765 or submit an anonymous tip to tips@bullochsheriff.com
