Massive vintage toy auction to be held at Gray Fairground

GRAY, TN (WJHL) -

More than 4000 vintage construction toys and trains are being auctioned off at the Gray Fairgrounds starting Friday and Saturday.

The toys belonged to the estate of the late Ron Estep of West Virginia.

Mr. Estep collected the toys at his home and he used to attend toy shows here in the Tri-Cities.

Now, a local auction company is conducting the sale of his collection, that includes pieces dating back to the 1930's and 40's.

According to Ralph Clarke with Mountain Empire Auctions, "There are some very small ones and some very large ones. There's old ones and there's new ones and there's old ones that are still in the box..it's a fantastic collection."

The live auction begins at 9 a-m on both days at the fairground, and if you would like to bid on-line, you can do so by logging onto mountainempireauction.com.
