Bank Robbed in Rincon, Authorities Search for Suspect

RINCON, GA -

The Rincon Police Department, Effingham County Sheriff's Office, and Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating a bank robbery at First Effingham Bank on Ga. 21.

   The Effingham Sheriff's Office says shortly after 2 p.m.,  Rincon officers and Effingham County Sheriff's deputies responded to the bank on a report of a robbery.

  A black male wearing an orange vest and a hat entered the bank brandishing a silver firearm and demanded money.

  Authorities say he got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

  The FBI Office in Savannah responded and is also investigating.

  Anyone with information is asked to call the Rincon Police Department or the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.
