BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) -

The stars were out for the 2013 Niswonger Children's Hospital Golf Classic at the Virginian Golf Club in Bristol this morning.

NFL legends like Dan Marino, Emmitt Smith, and Bruce Smith teed it up for a great cause.

Country music superstar Darius Rucker held a charity concert last night in Greeneville, and also took to the links this morning, to help raise money to pay for equipment for patients at the Children's Hospital.

According to Rucker, "You know golf has become such a great way to raise a lot of money and it is always cool to help...you know I'm always for helping the kids and it's cool to be able to come out here and play golf with your friends and raise a lot of money."

Organizers of the event say that between last night's concert and today's golf tournament, they have raised more than $700,000 for Niswonger Children's Hospital.
