Abducted Camden Co. Boy Found Safe

UPDATE: Miranda L. Hamby was arrested on Sunday in Dalton, GA. The abducted boy was found safe and unharmed.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office is looking for one-year-old, Rylan Z. Hamby. He was abducted from his home early Saturday between 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at 625 C Otter Court by his non-custodial mother Miranda L. Hamby.

The child was wearing only a diaper. Hamby is believed to have taken the child from the home while the residents slept.

The mother lost custody of the child due to her drug use and violent behavior. She is know to frequent Cumberland Oaks Apartments and The Pines Apartments in St. Marys. She may be using the name Miranda Burns.

Police are looking for a 2011 Silver Honda Civic with license ZPF7011 (North Carolina).

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Miranda L. Hamby or Rylan Z. Hamby please contact the Camden County Sheriff's Office at (912) 729-1442 or local law enforcement. Hamby faces charges of kidnapping, interference with custody and burglary.

    The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, on Highway 21 in Beaufort. According to Sgt. Bob Beres, a 1998 Mercedes Benz ran off of the right side of the road and overturned.
