Reckless Driving Suspect Still on the Loose

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GA -

Effingham County Sheriff's need your help finding the suspect in a reckless driving accident that left a boy badly hurt.

Investigators say 29 year old Jonathan Skaggs was driving recklessly when he hit Dylan Cain. Cain was walking to a bus stop on Glenwood Drive near Highway 30 when he was hit.

Skaggs was dating the victim's mother at the time of the crash.

Cain was airlifted to Memorial Health University Medical Center after the crash where he remained in critical condition for several days. At last report, Cain was taken to an out of town rehabilitation center.

Investigators have been gathering all of the facts over the past several weeks by interviewing witnesses, the offender, and the victim.

Jonathan Skaggs is 5' 9" tall, 160 pounds, and facing charges of serious injury by vehicle and reckless driving.

Investigators believe he is still in Effingham county, possibly in South Guyton.
