11 injured in Creedmoor 2-car accident

CREEDMOOR, N.C. -

Creedmoor police responded to an accident that resulted in 11 people being injured Tuesday afternoon.

Two cars collided on N.C. Highway 56 at the intersection with Hayes Road around 3 p.m., police said.

According to Creedmoor police, 11 people were injured with two being airlifted to Duke Hospital with serious injuries. The others were treated on scene and transported to Duke Hospital.

Police continue to investigate the accident.
