3 Charged in 2 Weekend Shootings

Chatham County -

Two men and a woman have been charged in two separate shootings that took place over the weekend in west Chatham County.

According to a news release from Savannah Chatham Metro Police, 17-year-old Zhaejuan A. Johnson and 29-year-old Kassandra Diane Perryman were arrested after a robbery and shooting on Fenwick Village Drive Saturday afternoon.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police violent crimes detectives say 28-year-old Michael Perryman was in his apartment when Johnson arrived about 1 p.m. and attempted to rob him. The two struggled over a gun which discharged, striking Johnson on the side of his head. Kassandra Perryman was charged with setting her husband up for the robbery. Police say the couple is separating.

Johnson was transported to the Chatham County Detention Center after spending a night at Memorial University Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries. He's being charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm in commission of a crime.

Just before 10 PM Saturday, police say 51-year old Victor Myron Baker was charged with shooting 45-year-old Donnie Reed Cantrell in the foot. Police say the two next-door neighbors had argued several times during the day before Cantrell went to Baker's house for a third time. Baker pulled out a gun and fired it twice into the ground and struck Cantrell's foot.

SCMPD detectives continue to investigate both incidents.
