AWOL Class Unveils New Album

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA -

There is a lot of talent in our area's youth.

But all too often, they lack the resources to make their dreams a reality.

Tonight, young people from the organization "All Walks of Life" -- or AWOL -- presented their latest album. They have been in the classroom for months studying creative writing, music theory and music production.

They write and compose all the songs.

It not only gives them a place to go after school, artist facilitator Travis Winbush says it also gives them a creative outlet to express what's in their hearts.

"They get to write about everything that is going on in their neighborhood, the schools, what they feel about the government and AWOL itself; just what they are going through as youth."
