BLUFFTON, S.C. -

Bluffton Police have arrested three young men in connection with a burglary at a home on Buck Island Road.

Police say the victim called to report the crime just before 11:00 this morning and then spotted suspects with his belongings sitting in a gold-colored SUV in the apartment complex next door.

When the victim confronted the suspects, police say the driver, identified as Samuel Freeman, struck the victim with the SUV and then struck an unrelated vehicle as they fled the area.

Bluffton Police stopped the suspects' vehicle on Buckwalter Parkway near Hampton Hall.

Inside, officers say they found stolen property belonging to the victim and a .40 Smith and Wesson handgun.

Freeman, 18, Landon Edward House, 18 and Carloryd De Edward Moss, 17, were each arrested and charged with burglary and weapons charges.

Freeman was also charged with Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature.

The victim was treated for his injuries by EMS at the scene.
