Funerals begin for Moore, OK tornado victims

MOORE, OK -

The first of 24 people killed in Moore, Oklahoma are being laid to rest today.

As the cleanup continues in Moore, Oklahoma, family and friends are gathering for the funeral of 9 year old Antonia Candelaria. She was killed along with six other children when a monster tornado flattened Plaza Towers Elementary school. Antonia's nickname was "Ladybug." She was gifted in music and art.

Funerals are being held for two other children today and tomorrow. President Obama is visiting the town Sunday.

Heavy rain, and flooding is adding to the misery in Moore, and slowing down the cleanup.

Gary Butler has been helping neighbors put tarps on their roofs to keep water from leaking into their damaged homes.

Residents here can't get a break. Streets are flooded in Moore. In some areas the water is so high, tornado debris is getting washed into the roads.

Today is the last day of school in Moore.

Donated toys, backpacks, and other supplies are being given out at a special assembly for students.

13,000 homes were damaged or destroyed. It's estimated the tornado did at least $2-billion dollars in damages.
