Deputies Seeking Person of Interest in Shooting

Posted:
SPRINGFIELD, GA -

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is looking to question a person of interest about an overnight shooting on Quail Run Circle.  Jared Hartfield of Springfield is believed to be driving a white Chevy Tahoe with Georgia Tag: BJD 4657.  Just before 1 A.M., deputies received calls with reports of hearing gun shots and screams on the road.  Initial reports indicate the victim was involved in some type of fight.  Authorities do not believe the shooting was random.  Right now, an adult male is recovering from multiple gun shot wounds at Memorial Health.  He was originally driven to the Effingham Hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was taken to the trauma center at Memorial.  If you know any information, call the Effingham County Sheriff's Office at 912-754-3449.
