RALEIGH, N.C. -

The N.C. State softball team has ripped off nine straight wins, including winning 16 of their last 18 games, to have the best season in school history.

First Year Head Coach Shawn Rychcik leads the second-seeded Wolfpack softball team to face seventh-seeded Virginia at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday in Tallahassee, Fla. for the ACC Tournament.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 and the ACC Regional Sports Networks.

The ACC announced Wednesday sophomore pitcher Emily Weiman as the 2013 ACC Pitcher of the Year and sophomore teammate Renada Davis joins her as a first-team All-ACC selection.

Senior outfielder Caitlin Dent and junior catcher Kirsty Grant were named to the second-team All-ACC squad.

The team has bashed 83 home runs this season, also a school record.
