ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) -

Police have identified the man found dead in a suspicious house fire.

Investigators say Robert Scott Greaves, 33, died of blunt force trauma before the fire started Wednesday night at a home on 13th Street North.  Firefighters say they found his body inside.

Daniel Thomas Papaleo, 60, is at a hospital under police guard, and is charged with arson. Doctors are treating the injuries he sustained in fire.  He was found outside the home, suffering from smoke inhalation.  They listed his condition as stable.

Investigators have revealed that Greaves and a daughter of Daniel Thomas Papaleo's had a child together.

The investigation also revealed that Papaleo invited Greaves to his home prior to the fire, but the purpose for the visit is not readily apparent at this time.

Additional charges against Papaleo will depend on the outcome of the criminal investigation, which is still ongoing.
