Eight-year-old scores special touchdown at ECU Spring Game

Posted: Updated:

The best highlight from today's Purple and Gold game came on the very last play. Eight-year-old Noah Roberts scored off a handoff that he took around 50 yards.

Roberts, from Wilmington, was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis back in 2010. The long-time ECU fan suffers from multiple brain tumors.

Today he was the star of the spring game. He was introduced to the team nearly two years ago as they developed this special connection.  The team put him up on their shoulders in the end zone for a fitting end to their spring game.
