Home Invasion Suspect Surrenders To Deputies

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GA -

A home invasion suspect wanted by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office is now in custody. Chrishaun Garvin turned himself into Sheriff's deputies around noon Thursday.

On February 9th, Garvin, 23, of Clyo, along with another unidentified male forced their way into a Clyo home and assaulted an elderly couple. The suspects were able to get away with cash and other items. Garvin has been charged with robbery, burglary, false imprisonment, and battery. Additional charges and arrests are pending.

Garvin is currently being held in the Effingham County Jail.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating a home invasion suspect. Chrishaun Garvin, 23, of Clyo, along with another unidentified male forced their way into a Clyo home and assaulted an elderly couple.

The suspects were able to get away with cash and other items. Sheriff's investigators have identified Garvin as one of the suspects and believe he is armed and dangerous. Garvin, who has been arrested almost a dozen times, may be in the Effingham or Chatham County.
