Hundreds Attend Pooler Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Posted: Updated:
POOLER, GA -

Saturday felt a little more like spring, and hundreds of kids in Pooler took advantage of the warmer temperature to get an early start on Easter. The Pooler egg hunt is an annual free event.

The First Presbyterian Church Of Pooler hosts it every year with the help of dozens of volunteers. Pastor John Fender says the best part of the event for him is all the happy faces he sees when the kids hit the field for the egg hunt. Pastor Fender says nearly 1,000 kids filled their baskets Saturday morning with more than 15,000 stuffed Easter eggs. Official word from the Easter bunny is that he was very happy with the turnout.
