CNT and GBI Agents Work Together to Bust Alleged Marijuana Trafficker

   One person is in custody following an operation conducted by the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team (CNT). 

  Early Tuesday morning, CNT Agents in a working partnership with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and Chatham County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit, received information on a large amount of marijuana in the Savannah-Chatham area.  Through the use of various investigative avenues, a search warrant was obtained for a residence on Cutler Court in Savannah. 

  30-year-old Charles Ashley Hall was arrested without incident following the seizure of more than 20 pounds of marijuana.  He was charged with Trafficking Marijuana, a felony in the state of Georgia with a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years to serve.     

  Hall remains in the Chatham County Detention Center following his arraignment in the Recorders Court of Chatham County, Georgia. 

  The seized marijuana has an estimated street value of up to $40,000.
