CNT Make Two Arrests with Community's Help

The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team located two wanted felons with the help of the community.

CNT requested the public's help on Monday to locate 40-year-old Robert Holbrook Owen and 42-year-old Robyn Whatley.

Originally, CNT believed Robert Owen was Ashley Owen due to Robert Owen providing identification stating he was Ashley Owen.

After posting yesterdays release, CNT confirmed Robert Owen was using his brother's identity.  CNT also learned Robert Owen was recently arrested on drug charges earlier this month in Chatham County and listed himself under a false name during that arrest.

After receiving multiple phone calls from members of the community, CNT with the assistance of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, located both Robert Owen and Robyn Whatley at a hotel on Abercorn Street early this morning where they were taken into custody without incident.

Owen and Whatley are being held at the Chatham County Detention Center and are expected to be arraigned sometime tomorrow.

CNT officials say additional charges are expected to be made against Robert Owen for falsifying his information to law enforcement.

CNT thanks the community for their support!
