Savannah Police say a 27 year old woman from Anchorage Alaska was killed Friday night after she walked into traffic on Interstate 95.
She's been identified as Angela Velvet Reynolds and she had been living at a King George Boulevard address.
Investigators say she was struck in the northbound lanes of the interstate south of the Highway 204 interchange about 11:15 p.m.
Officers with the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department found that she was riding in a car that had stopped on the interstate. She exited the vehicle and walked into the path of a Nissan Pathfinder driven by a Savannah woman.
