ATLANTA, GA -

An investigation conducted by the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation's Enforcement Division has led to the arrest of Marc M. Coleman. According to Enforcement Division Director Stan Bexley, Coleman was arrested on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, and transported to the Chatham County Jail where he has been charged with 7 (seven) Counts of Felony Insurance Fraud.

Coleman, age 54, is the co-owner of Arrow Auto Insurance Agency and Walker Auto Insurance Agency, located at 2707 Skidaway Road, Savannah, Georgia. Coleman, a Licensed Insurance Agent, has been in the insurance business for over seven years.

The Enforcement Division received several complaints alleging Coleman had taken premium dollars for workers' compensation insurance policies that were never issued. The investigation alleges Coleman fraudulently took money from numerous clients on the pretext of obtaining workers' compensation insurance coverage, only to provide them a bogus certificate of insurance as proof of coverage.

It is suspected Coleman has fraudulently obtained over $2,500.00 in workers' compensation premiums from victims. If any business owner in the greater Savannah/Chatham County area has purchased workers' compensation insurance through the Arrow Auto Insurance Agency and Walker Auto Insurance Agency, they are asked to contact the State Board of Workers' Compensation's Enforcement Division at (404) 657-7285 or (800) 533-0682.
