Several People Displaced After Fire Destroys Bloomingdale Home

BLOOMINGDALE, Ga. -

Chatham County Disaster Action Team volunteers responded to a large mobile home fire Wednesday afternoon at 414 W. Garvin Street in Guyton, GA.

The fire displaced three adults and 2 children, ages 14 years and 2 years. The mobile home was destroyed and volunteers provided funds for food, clothing, temporary shelter and replacement of prescription medication. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

The Red Cross encourages the public to join in support of assisting disaster victims by becoming volunteers or making a financial donation to the American Red Cross at 41 Park of Commerce Way, Building 200, Savannah GA 31405 or call (912) 651-5300.
