Johnson Claims GHSA Class-AAA Boys Basketball State Championship

(Macon) - Johnson controlled Saturday's State Title game from the opening tip off until the final buzzer..winning 61-51 over Savannah High School.

Tim Quarterman led the Atomsmashers with 21 points in his final game.  The Louisiana State University committ was in control, along with teammate Greg Mortimer.

After taking the lead midway through the first quarter, Johnson never relinquished it... pushing it out to 16 points in the second half.

Jermaine Williams scored 18 points and Jamal Norman 16 for the Blue Jackets.

Former Savannah High assistant coach Utaff Gordon, now with the Atomsmashers, beat his old boss, Tim Jordan.
