ATLANTA, GA -
Officials released a statement Friday offering more that $5,000 in reward money, for information leading to an arrest in a series of armored car robberies in Savannah.
"Special
Agent in Charge (SAC) Mark F. Giuliano, Atlanta Field Office, Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI), announces a reward of up to $5000.00 for information
leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for several
Savannah, Georgia area armored car robberies.
Loomis Armored is offering an additional reward of up to $5000.00 for
information leading to arrest/convictions of these same individuals.
On Tuesday, September 4,
2012, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a Loomis Armored truck guard was robbed at
gunpoint by four black males while servicing an ATM machine located at the
Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1900 Victory Drive, Savannah, Georgia. The robbers fled the scene in a stolen red
Dodge Ram pickup truck. That vehicle was
later recovered by law enforcement officials.
On Tuesday, November 20,
2012, at approximately 7:00 a.m., a Loomis Armored truck guard was robbed at
gunpoint by three black males while servicing the Wells Fargo Bank located at
6999 Abercorn Street, Savannah, Georgia.
Although the aggressive method of robbery was similar, notable
differences in body characteristics and descriptions were observed in this last
robbery.
