Willie Howard is wanted in connection a set of stolen and forged checks in Garden City.
Police say the checks were stolen from a business mailbox, and then Howard cashed them at four locations in Savannah and Garden City.
"It has almost the identical information on it, but you can tell this check was made up," said Garden City Detective Kurtis Purtee. "So this person stole the check, altered their own check, made their own check and basically went in and cashed a fraudulent check."
But Howard was caught on surveillance video cashing that check at Savannah Bank, and now has police on his trail.
"Anytime that a person cashes a check, especially a fictitious one, not only does it hurt the business. It hits the public as well," said Purtee.
Willie Howard is 5'7" tall, 154 lbs. His last known address was on Arnold street.
The second suspect on the loose is Johnny Green.
We've told you about him before.
He's the man who is wanted in Effingham County, for passing bad check, all while dressed as a woman.
Now he has a warrant in Garden City, too.
"Went to Walgreens in Garden City, purchased $191 worth of items, and swiped his rewards card which led up to his residence," said Detective Purtee. "He's out there somewhere. The last address we have was on Jasper Drive. He's been driving several different vehicles-- a white passenger car and a tan 2001 Chevy Venture Minivan. There's no telling how many other places are going to have cases on him and at some point Savannah may have something on him as well."
If you know where Johnny Green is, call Garden City Police or Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020.
Remember if your tip leads to an arrest on either of these suspects, you could eligible for a cash reward.
