Judge Considering the Fate of Local Sales Tax Money

A judge will rule on how much money the county and the local cities will get from the local option sales tax, or LOST.

The county and the local cities that get portions of the money are squabbling over how much they will get.  The county wants more money to make up for a budget shortfall from last year.

Local option sales tax money goes to various services like paying for police officers and firefighters, road maintenance and parks and recreation.

The Judge will take all arguments for more money into account and make a ruling.  News 3 will continue to follow this story and bring you the very latest.
