Monday, it appeared New York City firefighters weren't going to march in Savannah's St Patrick's Day Parade it's a different story.
News 3 has learned New York City firefighters will have a place to march, right next to some of Savannah's best and brightest.
The parade committee says the big apple firefighters can march under the same banner as Savannah's fire department.
Turns out it was not the fire department itself that was not given a parade spot, but the group "Our Nation's Firefighters", which is compromised mostly of New York City firefighters, that was denied a permit.
Parade committee members said they had problems with that group drinking before and during the parade.
But they added that NYFD never applied themselves for a parade spot.
The committee added that "Our Nation's Firefighters" will still not be able to march.
But the committee is happy to have New York's bravest in the parade this year, as long as they follow the rules.
