Parents want to find comfort in knowing their children are safe after school. Urban Hope focuses on improving the lives of inner city children in Savannah. The Christian based program plays an important role in the lives of about 20 children a day. After school they get help with homework and a meal here. They also have an opportunity to learn how to sew, computer skills, music, art and design along with drama classes. "This is a loving environment and everybody that comes in show all of the kids love and let them know that they are somebody," says Corvardis Broadie. Urban Hope volunteers also reach out to children with a summer program that includes reading and math. Get to know more about the program tomorrow night at their third annual a Taste of Hope. It begins at 7 in the Charles Morris Center on East Broad Street. If you need a ticket you can buy them when you arrive. Your $30 donation will support the children of urban hope.
