UPDATE: Victim Identified as 28 Year old Jessica Strieber. A Savannah woman and waitress at Coach's Corner restaurant in Thunderbolt

An overnight car accident at Ferguson Avenue and Lehigh Avenue leaves the female driver dead this morning.

At about 2:15 A.M. Thursday, Metro Police, Southside Fire and EMS responded to the car accident where they believed a woman was trapped in her car. 

Metro Police believe Jessica Strieber ran into a brick column and a tree before flipping her car over.  No other cars were involved in the accident. 

The accident shutdown a section of  Ferguson Avenue for hours early this morning. 

The Major Accident Investigation Team came out to figure out why the driver crashed. 

Ferguson Avenue is now back open this morning.
