BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. -

A father and son were served with indictments Monday morning charging them with murder in the death of an eight year old Hilton Head Island boy last fall.

Aaron Scott Young Sr. and Aaron Scott Young Jr. are two of three suspects charged in the death of Khalil Singleton.

The third suspect, Tyrone Robinson, has already been charged and indicted.

Prosecutors say the men were involved in a feud that led to a shootout on September 1st on Allen Road.

Singleton, a third grader at Hilton Head Island Elementary, was struck by one of those bullets as he played in his grandmother's front yard.

Investigators have said that Robinson fired the bullet that killed Singleton.

Under the new campaign, "Every Bullet, Every Shooter" launched by Solicitor Duffie Stone, each man who fired a weapon is being charged with Singleton's murder.

Daniel Brownstein, spokesman for the Solicitor's Office, says that policy will also be used in other instances like the Singleton case.

Prosecutors have not said what penalty they are seeking against the three men.

It's also unknown whether they will be tried separately or together.
