Posted: Updated:

WSAV.com has learned that a Brooklet, Georgia couple are the victims of a deadly multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 516 near Veterans Parkway this afternoon. Officials with the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police say the couple is 29 year old Stephen Caroll Joyner and his wife 31 year old Camie Barnes Joyner. They died on the scene of the 2:16pm crash. Their daughter, 3 year old Dakota was listed in stable condition afer being transported to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment.

Trever Chase Cannon, 22, of Bloomingdale, driver of the pickup truck, was listed in serious but stable condition.

Irven Williams, 47, a motorcyclist who laid his cycle down to avoid the overturning pickup truck, was treated at the hospital for injuries he received from the fall.

Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) officers from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, said Cannon was driving eastbound at a high rate of speed and lost control of the blue 2002 Ford F-250 pickup. The truck entered the median and overturned, rolling over the motorcycle and crashing into a westbound silver 2004 Toyota Rav 4 carrying the family.

MAIT officers continue to investigate the crash.
