Edward Archer is accused of burglary and theft by deception in two cities
Edward Archer is a 44 year old from Garden City who is accused of taking advantage of his neighbor's special needs son.
"He opened the door, greeted him, and the suspect asked him if he could see the BB gun because he wanted to buy something like that for his son," explained Garden City Police Detective Daniel Solis. "The victim's son went to the backyard and waits on the suspect to show him the BB gun, but the suspect never shows up."
Edward archer was gone, and so were the victim's valuables.
"Few days later the Mom is getting ready for work," says Solis. "She notices most of her jewelry is missing. She starts greeting her son, that's the last person who entered the residence."
"The following day I went and checked the Pawn Shop and sure enough he had pawned most of the jewelry described by the victim," explained the Detective.
Edward Archer is 5'10", 230 lbs. While he once lived in Garden City, investigators say he is from Savannah, has a girlfriend in the city, and is probably hiding out there.
In addition to the burglary charge, Archer is also facing a charge of theft by deception out of Savannah
"He's also an aggressive person," adds Detective Solis. "He's gotten in fights with relatives, family members and police officers."
Call Garden City Police or Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 if you can help find this wanted suspect and put him behind bars.
"To take advantage of a person like that, being he's handicapped. His actions speak for themselves," said Solis.
Remember if your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
